St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited

The power of caring,
since 1964

We generate, transmit and distribute the electricity that powers Saint Lucia — safely, reliably and with respect for the island we serve.

October 2026

What a unit of electricity costs this month

Your bill is the base tariff plus a fuel cost adjustment. The base tariff is set annually. The fuel adjustment moves each month with the price of fuel and the amount used to generate electricity, under a formula set by the Electricity Supply Act.

Domestic, first 180 units

$1.227EC$ / kWh

Base tariff
$0.812
Fuel adjustment
41.5c

A positive fuel adjustment applies when the current fuel price is above the average paid over the preceding year. When it falls below, the adjustment reduces the tariff.

The Power of Caring

Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.

Investing in people has always been a fundamental part of how LUCELEC does business. Whether it is our staff, our contractors, our customers, our communities or our children — caring has the potential to turn lives around.

Through our operations and our philanthropic work we are energising lives at home, in the classroom, on the playground, in business, in sport, in the arts, and in health care across Saint Lucia.

Our success is inextricably linked to the success of our customers and the country.
