The notice
What LUCELEC is asking for
A 10 MW solar PV plant with a 2-hour lithium-ion battery energy storage system of about 13 MW, connected to the 66 kV network, on a 70-acre site on the southeast coast. Hatch Ltd. is the Owner’s Engineer.
The detailed RFP was expected to be issued in the first half of September 2025, with a due date at the end of October, and construction targeted to start in the first quarter of 2026.
Interested EPC contractors were asked to tell LUCELEC of their interest and their points of contact, with their experience of similar projects in the region. LUCELEC did not intend to prepare an official short-list; the RFP would be open.
