Development

Growing your career

By the early 1980s it was evident that the Company needed better trained people to cope with an increasingly technological environment. It initiated a highly successful craft apprenticeship programme and began recruiting graduate staff for all senior positions. By the end of the 1980s the Company was virtually self-sufficient in all but the most specialised needs, and it keeps an in-house training capability for all but the most skilled professional roles.
